SGM continues to expand our capabilities by investigating new and inventive approaches to the challenges of manufacturing -­ by combining our capabilities, and implementing creative fixturing solutions, SGM is able to produce items that would be considered ‘impossible’ from a classical approach. For this reason, we are not a ‘brand-­loyal’ shop -­ we believe that a variety of machinery increases our flexibility, and allows us to best utilize each machine’s unique capabilities.

The most efficient way to manufacture an item can drastically change as details like quantities, processes, and materials vary. As a result, we analyze every opportunity from a process­-engineering perspective to ensure that we’re providing the customer with the best solution.

Milling

cap_photo_1SGM CNC-milling capabilities include the latest technologies in high precision machining, including our impressive Mori Seiki Dura Vertical 5100. We consistently advance our capabilities through fixturing, custom-tooling, and indexing equipment. We use a unique coolant that is designed for both metals and plastics, and have rigorous cleaning standards - this gives our customers the assurance that our system is specifically designed to eliminate cross-­contamination.

Turning

cap_photo_2SGM CNC-turning capabilities include the latest technologies in high precision machining such as our Mori Seiki NL 2000’s. We use a unique coolant that is designed for both metals and plastics, and we implement rigorous cleaning standards this gives our customers the assurance that our system is specifically designed to eliminate cross-contamination. We have a wide variety of lathes with specialized capabilities so that we’re always providing the most efficient process for our customers.
